*Updated* Almost free item that you can add to any order! sku.1888 Drop Shipment
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.1888
What does this do?
On a normal package, the return address has the DX logo as shown at the upper left hand corner of this page and in this picture.
WITHOUT sku.1888:

When you add this item, DX puts a special return label over their usual address as shown in this picture.
WITH sku.1888:

It also used to add "Special Services" to the customs declaration. As of January 8, 2009 it probably will NOT add that anymore according to Tiffany and as seen on packages shipped after that date.
[OLD picture with Special Services and no item category for some reason:

The no item category still happens sometimes actually, don't know why.]
Why should you use it?
If you're sending a gift, you can send it directly to the person's house. It can be a cheap yet fancy looking item, but they won't be able to easily tell where exactly it came from and how much you paid.
Also, you can sell items to people and have DX ship directly to them [drop shipping]. If you don't want them to find out that you paid $2 when they paid you $20, add this item to keep them guessing!
What if I'm ordering something to myself?
It's long been rumored that no DX logo helps things pass through customs more efficiently. This is unproven. In fact, it's probably untrue, seeing as Norwegian customs actually returned all DX packages at one point with or without this sku. All customs agents should realize where DX packages come from by now.
What doesn't it do?
It doesn't influence the value put on the customs form or tell them to mark it as a gift. The value will be low but vary; gift will always be marked [unless you live in Norway, where the real value will be marked regardless due to issues]. And you get no free candy if you add this.
Why shouldn't I use this?
It costs a penny. Plus, overuse is never good. Leave it for when you need it!

And S CHEN is no longer on packages to me with or without sku.1888 as of months ago.
The only thing it actually does aside from adding Special Services is that it covers the part of the label which has the DX logo and the return address with a silver label showing a winged package with the exact same return address. [CONFIRMED on packages to me in the USA as of late 12/08].
Don't believe me? Why else would an order from the iPod category [pictured above] have SPECIAL SERVICES on the declaration? Only thing that's weird is that that's the ONLY thing on the declaration, I didn't edit it :D
Obviously very nice so when a customer gets something from DX they don't wonder why they ordered from FeeBay_Seller_Plus yet there's a picture of "D X" for some reason on their package ;). As I said, it getting through customs more easily is unconfirmed, probably a myth.

What is confusing to me is that the picture iforget posted only has the word "Special Services" in the description field. iforget could you share with us what you have ordered?
