Can you believe that DX wants me to pay for getting a replacement when in the first place, what they sent me didn't work right out of the plastic case?

Sheesh!

I'll post a follow up once I can get some resolution from DX.

there's nothing in this to make it not work... just a pin-to-pin adapter.

-Did you check your micro SD to make sure it's not dead ?

-Some of these only work for non-SDHC (direct pin-to-pin with no chip inside)

That is a Micro to full SD, but these have the same layout.

and before anybody says "Micros have 8 pins, Minis have 11"... notice the 3 center pins aren't used.

Mine was also dead on arrival and i took pictures and send a detailed description of why they dont work and they send me 2 new ones free.

one of them just did not work.
the other one i could not get the card in it.

i tried taking mine apart and its a sealed unit and it does not come apart.

In essence, the microsd card (256mb...note!) works in full SD adapter but not in the mini sd adapter (that I bought from DX).

MiniSD card reader socket is working cos its tested with a minisd card.

Conclusion...minisd adapter is not working.

probably uneven pins... lightly tap it in the center with a small flatheaded hammer.

I had to do this to a Micro SD - Pro Duo adapter.

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestions. I've tried that, and also tried squeezing it a little before inserting the card. I tried jiggling it a little as well. Just doesn't read the microsd card.
