What, seriously? It's here at last!

Well, sheepish, are they any good, have you tried them?
Judging by the other topics for this product ("No modes at all!","One mode only","Memory mode not working") I'd say that the initial excitement was in vain!!!
Anyone found another 2800mA-3000mA single 18650 driver (5 modes + mode memory) that works as advertised???

Basically because of the idiocy regarding shovelling people off the working site onto the beta site.

Anyway, the One mode only thread is from someone wanting only one mode. The other two threads are unclear what their situation is. Because these drivers are not pre-wired the LED negative terminal could easily be missed by someone who wasn't familiar with these things. (I don't know if that's what they did.)

Also these drivers need enough voltage; when I tried a single Li-ion I only got 1.25A on high, probably due to the high voltage drop under load of my low quality Trustfire cell. When I used 4 x AA NiMH they are as claimed.

They have memory, although I'm not convinced it works completely as expected - I sometimes get a mode missed. The highest figures I have measured:

    Low 140mA.
    Mid 840mA.
    High 2.75A.
    Strobe, ~6Hz I think.
SOS, repeats about every 12 seconds.
