Anyone tried these batteries? How are they?

  • MeGeek Wednesday, January 28, 2009 11:50 AM Reply
Just wondering if anyone has tried these batteries and whether the 2500ma rating is correct.

If they cost 6.75, it must be because they are good!
Well, Dealextreme goes to DE not DX in my book!

The rating of 2500mAh will be exadurrated a little bit.

these are based off of a sony version that runs at 2200 mah so i imagine that assuming these are similar that they run at about that much

I gained ~14% in runtime using these batteries compared to my AW17670 1600mAh so I'd say my TF are ~1800-1900mAh; not too bad for the price though

Even though your being sarcastic and have not tried them, you are right.....they are good.

They can all happily be discharged at 3.0A (and even 4A). Using a Charger which can discharge at 3.0A until the batteries read 3.0V under load, then it reduces the current to maintain the batteries voltage at 3.0V until all useful capacity has been obtained. mAh results for 8 cells are as follows, the mAh figures in the 3.0A column are what they gave at 3.0A until the discharger started reducing the current to maintain the voltage.

    ........... Sustained
    .......... 3A Disch Tot Capacity Resting V

    Battery 1 2350.... 2493...
    Battery 2 1600.... 2126... 3.12
    Battery 3 2372.... 2489... 3.11
    Battery 4 1483.... 2072... 3.11
    Battery 5 1740.... 2010... 3.12
    Battery 6 1215.... 2070... 3.15
    Battery 7 1740.... 2083 ... 3.18
    Battery 8 1830.... 2115... 3.17

Interestingly quite a few of the cells gave decent amp output of below 3A, but above 2A for quite a while after the 3.0V point was reached, often until they had given almost all of their total capacity. These are very good cells for the money. In all cases the cells gave pretty much all their capacity and were still delivering 500mah at the end. All cells give over 2000 mAh capacity and are very good cells for the money.
