    I think that the supplier gives 3 or NetCom or whatever the modem unlocked and then they print <Name> on it and locks it.

    In that case, AznAlex, the product would be unlocked wouldn't it? ;)

    Anyway, this thread says it's not locked:

    Look, it wouldn't be the first time that DX has genuine products that are available elsewhere, locked or not. You don't have to unlock something you've purchased directly from the manufacturer (unless you've requested that they lock it - and DX has no reason to do that) because it's not locked in the first place.
