1A (~0.5C) is more of a moderate discharge rate. Generally I think of C/10 and below as a "low" discharge rate. But, these cells should be fine for 1A discharges.

The blue Trustfire 2500, sku.6979, are considered good for unprotected cells. The newer Ultrafire XLS series (unprotected is sku.26248) is also testing out quite well.

Stay away from high capacity cells over 2900mAh. They have lots of capacity, but high internal resistance will kill them quick at moderate to high discharge rates.
What's up with the scrubbed LED driver IC markings?
What are they trying to hide?

Anyone looking for an updated answer to this question, then you should search for the Panasonic 3400mAh cells on DX. As of now, they are the highest capacity cells available and damn reliable too.
