Since I live in Italy, the power transformer is not compatible with the sockets of my house.
I used another transformer at 5V but 1.5 A: It is possible that this is what causes me the problem?
It's the only change I made to the camera.

    Hi Fredereich,

You may want to use a VOLT Meter to measure the voltage.. Make sure its 5V..
The original power adaptor is 2A.. I got myself a transformer with 2.5A and its working fine since.

What's is your actual problem? You cannot Flash the latest fw or?

    Hi tslima,

Ya I noticed there is a new firmware System We bUI

DO NOT TRY to flash it onto this device! WARNING!

If your current firmware version is 11.14.1.xx, or 11.14.2.xx, this is the lastest and last upgrade for your hardware revision. There is a higher firmware set, but it is only for the recent hardware and would brick older cameras.

The new firmware is for FI8918 W which replaced the FI8908 W..

Still using the current version as I dont encounter and problem and all works well.
If its not spoil, better dont touch it :)

I think camera needs that 2A. If you change power, volts have to be same but amp's can be bigger, then camera take's what it needs. If there is to much volts it may damage the camera. There is adapter in DealExtreme so you can use flat power(SKU3529)
