Good point. You probably won't be able to checkout, but you won't lose anything by trying... ;)

Will the checkout system allow for more than one store credit to be applied to a SINGLE order?
I have two store credits. When I place my next order will the checkout system allow me to apply BOTH credits on that single order?
I'm concerned that it won't - and the result will be a month long ordeal of emails and inquiries trying to rectify the situation.

    I have two store credits.

You should have a total Store Credit that you can apply to your order - not a problem. (But you'll probably get a month long customer support ordeal anyway for non-related reasons.)

Am I right in thinking that I have to either use my Paypal account or enter my credit card details before using my Store Credit? So I cannot just use my Store Credit to pay for the whole order before having to do one of those?

    Dear colleagues,
this is a smart trick. Just note that when you get to your PP webpage, you have full cost of your purchase in the frame on the left side of checkout panel. In the moment you click Continue, PP charges that money form your PP account. That's it. After that you will be redirected back to DX page and whatever you doing, money already transferred.

Most probably if you found that later and contact the client support, you will get answer kind of "we add this money to your Store Credit" or "this is a Terms And Conditions rule that you sign" (I have no time to read it, maybe somebody did). Anyway, your money already in DX account, so you can try to get it back (for example, I spend 13 month for meaningless correspondence concerning undelivered items and it still in progress).

This is a silly trick. Just can't imagine that somebody blindly use it. Simply ask yourself, what the problem just subtract Store Credit before checkout. :)

    SO, BE AWARE!

    Hi drSnaut,
you're doing something wrong for sure. The tutorial is very simple to understand (foolproof), did you follow it correctly?

I've used store credits on 3 orders (yes, three times) and never had problems so far.

PS: At least you must pay $0.01 to paypal/cc to generate the order number.

dear LAL, 33236 posts... hom much you get for each?

Listen, you can cheat you grandma, I'm more that 10 years in web dev, I know how PP process checkouts and that what you doing it's just exploiting the people's confidence. Please aswer me, why you just didn't substract Store credit before checkout? ah? and why I can't pay just by using my Store credit? Why I need to process the full cost? And why you remove the line from my previous post?

How much do you get for each of yours drSnaut? Why are you being so rude?

PS: At least you must pay $0.01 to paypal/cc to generate the order number.

That's worse than I thought. Not only can we not pay for an order using Store Credit before using our Paypal account and/or credit card, but we cannot pay for a whole order using Store Credit. And for Paypal I need to be able to cover the full amount, either with my Paypal balance or with a credit card, before I get the chance to apply Store Credit.

Maybe that is the easiest way for DX to generate order numbers, but for the customer just wanting to use Store Credit that's not a particularly helpful way to do it.
