2048 steps/rev, some play

  • DrJones Saturday, May 19, 2012 3:02 PM Reply
    I got that little stepper today and connected it to the Arduino; pretty straight forward. Runs on the 5V from USB (to which I connected the Arduino).
    It takes 2048 full steps per revolution.
    Maximum speed is about 8 rev/minute in my config, that's about 270 steps/second.
    CON: The gears have quite some play, about 3° for mine :(

    Which sketch did you use to test this? I'm using the "stepper_oneRevolution" example but the motor is only going clockwise. Any thoughts?

    Thanks in advance!

    You have to swap the stepper pin order to
    Stepper myStepper(stepsPerRevolution, 8,10,9,11);
    I used the knob example first and the played with it for a while.
    Also set
    const int stepsPerRevolution = 2048;
    Maybe that helps.
