If DX is surveying its customers why isn't DX directing people to the survey?

I got this email a few days ago as a MS .doc file from a team member at DX asking if I would fill it out.

I did and returned it to them.

I think maybe they sent this out randomly to a few beta testers.

    Hope that helps

It would have been nice if they had treated the dx.com beta site the same way and actually done some beta testing on it before trying to use it live like they've done.

    @sheepish
The link to customer survay is in all product & category pages, in the right side.

That's interesting. I try to avoid the buggy beta site as much as I can so I hadn't seen that. But I think my question basically still stands. Why are you drawing people's attention to it, not DX? I think it's another example of the disjointed behaviour I'm coming to expect from DX. As I've said before, there appears to be no one in change making sure the right things are done at the right time and in the right order.

Exactly what it seems like too often. (I read "change" as "charge").

It's kind of like the Product Request forum. Hundreds of items added each and every week, almost regular as clock work. Though I don't think the percentage of what people actually ask for being listed is very high. Not for me anyhow and I've mostly given up on it aside from occasionally amusing myself.

Or the Bug Reports forum. I can't help feeling that they often aren't taken seriously either.

Somebody slap me I think I'm slipping into whine mode lol

Back on topic, I noticed the survey thing on the side of the page a while back, but when I noticed the link with the "random letters" at the end, I figured it wasn't an anonymous survey. So what could I possibly have to add that I haven't already moaned about (and been ignored about) publicly on the forum lol

The idea of wanting feedback and wanting to improve is very commendable and very welcome, but at some point actions are infinitely more vital than words or best intentions.

I blame my Dvorak keybeard! <-- Oops, that was unintentional but funny enough to leave. Yes, "in charge".

I'm not quite sure what they were thinking of with question 8. The beta site is still not working. Is that not clear to them? It shouldn't be used at all except as a beta site.

Aren't those "random letters" just the link for the particular survey? The link I get on "my" pages is the same as the one Olli linked.

Well, as it turns out, yes, lol. I figured that out shortly afterwards when I thought I should add the suggestion that Olli change the link, but when I tried alternative random endings to the link (such as "happy" or "joy" instead of the random letters) I realised what a mistake I had made in my exercise plan (jumping to conclusions, pushing my luck etc.).
Thought about correcting it, but then decided to leave it and see if anyone else fell for it too lol.

Clearly I am easily amused, but even "spanky" (instead of the random letters at the end of the link) leads to a survey.....
