Best, brightest, far throwing beam flashlight <70$

  • Kilppari Friday, September 07, 2012 3:15 PM Reply
    Hi!
Can someone recommend the brightest tight beam having flashlight under 70 dollars? I have checked some 3000-4000lm ultrafire flashlights with 3-5x XM-LT6 leds. Which would be the best choice?
    Thanks!

    Edit. These are alternatives:

I'm really interested in fandy fire uv-s5. Looks great and the size is perfect. Wonder if it's as bright as others. I ordered http://dx.com/p/ultrafire-wf-500-cree-xpe-r5-5-mode-3000lm-memory-6-led-white-flashlight-black-2-x-18650-120691?item=17 but I was disappointed because I did hardly see any change to my old 800-lumen ssc-p7.

Kilpari; Most multiple led. lights will not " throw" as well as a single led. light. (throw meaning very narrow center beam for long distance).
According to reviews and forum posts that I have seen, one of the best "throwers" here is (sku.91137). One of the reviews is Dr.jones, and if he said it's good, than it is good.
I have seen videos of the fandyfire uv-s5 on youtube. It would probably be considered an "average" thrower, but it is so darn bright that it still has very good throw. The AMOUNT of light it puts out is amazing. I will definitely be ordering the uv-s5 as soon as I can.
I have no experience with the other lights you mentioned, so I can only suggest you read the reviews and posts for them.
P.S., If you click on the sku.# above and it does't work, than click on the little box with the red arrow right next to it.
There seems to be a glitch in the system. Good luck.
Also if you look for videos, the Sky ray king is the same as the uv-s5.

I would go with sku.92038 but you would need to change the driver (I recommend sku.127684) to get most from that XML T6 emitter. I know that this is not 3x or 5x or 7x XML but it is a good flashlight and it throws very good...
For better throw you need as wider reflector you can find...
