Affiliate URL

  • grendelt Friday, October 5, 2012 11:16 AM Reply
When I drive traffic to DX.com, my affiliate code is stripped if the customer clicks away from the specific product I referred.

Amazon and many other affiliate program providers do not operate this way. I would like to continue to point customers to the whole range of products DX has to offer - not just one specific item. Sometimes, the products come and go so quickly, I cannot keep up. I would prefer if DX would give me a cut of ANY sales made as a result of MY visitors going to dx.com the way other, large retailers do.

It is not a hard thing to accomplish: When the page is creating links within a page, check the URL for an affiliate tag, if one exists append that to the links on the page.

    With reference to your paragraphs:

    1. The site only needs the affiliate ID on one URL to set the cookie.

    2. Have you read how the affiliate program actually works?

    3. What would be the point? See response to paragraph 1.
