Modes
The stars allow other mode groups to be hard wired. There is no memory, so after a few seconds off it reverts to high.
1: Default group, star already connected to ground.
2: High (100%), low (20%), strobe.
3: High (100%), medium (33%), low (7%).
4: High (100%), low (20%).
That 3 mode non-flashing group would have been great if they had been in the advertised order, coming on in low and giving me the option to increase the output if I wanted more light. When I use a multi-mode light I almost never think "oh, I have too much light; I could/should turn it down". However I do very often think "I need more light, I want to turn it up." With drivers like this I have to cycle through the modes to find the right one and remember where I am in the order so I don't end up using a brighter one than I want. STUPID!
Edit: My current measurement for low in the two mode group was 20% not 10%.
Edit 2: Taken some more measurements, the low in group 2 is also 20%.
