This one (SKU: 168101) or the SKU: 146504 ? Similar specs. This one does not have a review yet, but the runtime is rated higher (3-5 hrs) then the other one (1-3 hrs).

Yep, you're missing something, stupid info and claims by the manufacturers given to DX ;)

In my experience, the runtimes for five modes lights are (On DX they are rarely regulated)~
High ~ 60 mins
Med ~ 2-3 hrs
Low ~ 10-20 hrs

It will vary depending on which battery you use, but the above is based on a 2000mAh battery. Be careful with battery claims, the best can only do around 3100mAh, so any that claim that they're 3600/4000mAh are lying and are not worth buying cos they'll be rubbish.
Panasonic/Sanyo are some of the best, but obviously will cost more. These will be good for you as an upgrade from the rubbish cell that is included sku.120476

Yep, I've figured that the claimed runtimes are a bull, and that the stated battery capacities are even bigger bull.
But the question remains: which one? :) The black one has a mode memory, and is insignificantly more expensive. However, there is no review yet. Which one would you recommend?

I must emphasise that I have decided on those two after a long day of browsing and reviewing, because of the nice flashlight specs/battery/charger/car charger combo for a decent price. So please don't make this decision even harder by recommending a third one :))

Okay, before I go searching, the cost would likely be around $40 because the battery's, charger and light would not be an all in one package, plus the switch would be on the back, not on the side. If that sounds okay, then I'll find you a couple to choose from?

I put the slightly dearer lights first. They have pretty much all the same insides all wrapped in different shells, as I said before, its mostly down to what you like the look of.
The bigger the lens/front, the further the throw.
Generally, when you get a light from DX/cheap light anywhere, you need to give it a quick check over and make sure everything is tight, like switch etc... simple to do and there is a "flashlight" link in my sig below if you come across any problem, but it is rare not to be able to fix these simple lights.
