The description says - it has microphone. Can't see microphone boom on the photos, could anybody please tell where it is located ?

It's not a boom style microphpone. Picture 4 (hard to see) shows a small hole, centered between the words Volume and Off. That's probably the mic.

Not sure, though how good this kind of microphone will be (so far from the mouth).

I've had a similar headset once and the mic works well, regardless where it is positioned.
