  • Willem12345 Sunday, February 17, 2013 2:32 AM Reply
    Can anyone tell me if I need to get drivers to make this work?
    I have tried it in 3 diffrent pc's with window 2007, vista and xp and not of them seems to see the unit and so it does not pick up or send an image.

    I have a 4 way spliter does this also mean i need to have 4 outputs pluged in for it to work? as I am only using 2 at this time but will need the othere two out puts soon.

    @Willem12345
    It's a splitter, means, 1 PC can be shown in 4 screens at the same time(same image), it's not a switch.
    VGA in is the PC, VGA out are monitors.

    This is a video splitter and you don't need special driver for it. Just plug cables and it should work. It can work with 1-4 monitor display(s).

    I'm not sure if you've made the connections correctly: The PC's VGA output goes to VGA in; monitors or other compatible devices goes to VGA1,2,3,4.
    Also I'm quite certain you aren't aware of the limitations VGA video splitters have like resolution, among a few other compatibility issues. The output resolution is always the same of the source and up to 1920*1440 for this device and for ALL of its outputs. The resolution can't be adjusted for each individual output therefore you're *probably* using a resolution not compatible with one or all of the monitors, projector, whatever...

    PS - Would you be so kind as to explain what OS is "window 2007"? I know about Windows Vista and Windows XP and also Windows 7 and the newer Windows 8 but never ever heard of a "Window 2007"...

    Sorry windows 7 bit of a type o. I am running 1366 x 738 res, I have pluged in the screens and projector directly into the laptop and pc's and they worked no problem its just when I use the splitter there is no signal going to the screens or the digi projector.

    Weird resolution and most certainly not supported at all by the splitter.

    But in the decription and also in your last post you say it takes up to 1920*1440. No where can i see what resolution i have to bee using. Whould you be able to help with that?
  • CelticWarrior Sunday, February 17, 2013 11:39 AM Reply
    "Up to..." just means it can't go higher than that. It doesn't mean that any resolution below that can be used. Usually this devices only accept standard resolutions like 800*600, 1024*768, etc.

    Old but still relevant for your case: http://hd1080i.blogspot.com.es/2006/12/1080i-on-1366x768-resolution-problems.html
