No strobe mode? glass?

  • starush Saturday, April 6, 2013 5:17 PM Reply
    1. No strobe mode?
    2. Lenses are of real glass or plastic?
    3. Unfortunately, beam shapes are not visible good enough at the photos. Would someone be so kind to describe the destination of central light and side ones. I mean throw/flood etc.

Hard to say for sure, but I think the center light would be a good thrower, and the side lights would be better flooders. It seems you could have a thrower, a flooder, or both. I'm not positive though. Just judging from the pictures.
NO! I don't know why DX screwed up the site so badly.
    Ask them.

    1) If you hold down the button you get 3 leds strobe mode.
    2) Center lens is glass, sidepods are plastic TIR lenses.
    3) Center is throw, sidepods are flood. Unlike many other models this one give nice wide flood.

@KuKzz your answers are the best. And DX must be thankful for you too, because I am going to buy it too.

Heh, thanks. I guess I should submit a proper review of this light and not just answer random questions on forums.
I'm kinda too lazy to write the reviews, but maybe i should...

Sorry, @Kukzz, there are stated in description: "Long time pressing switch button to enter into stepless dimming mode".
You wrote: "If you hold down the button you get 3 leds strobe mode".

So, does it have both dimming mode and strobe mode or just one of them?

That's OK, someone started a whole separate thread to address question 3. http://club.dx.com/forums/forums.dx/threadid.1289479

Strobe on hold, there are no brightness adjustment or dimming modes.
