Laser died on first shot. Try again or get refund?

I got the "Armed Forces Green Laser Sight Module with Gun Mount", http://dx.com/p/armed-forces-green-laser-sight-module-with-gun-mount-20mw-532nm-cr123a-included-13769

I put it on my VERY low powered rifle - technically not even a true rifle but a "pistol round carbine" chambered in 9mm.

I took one shot - it died. I fiddled with it some and it came back on. Second shot - died. I tried a new battery on top of fidgeting with everything I can imagine. It's clearly not standing up to the recoil.

This was my first DX purchase. Is this indicative of what to expect from their lasers? should I try again or just get a refund and move on?

It LOOKS great and seems to be well constructed. I just don't know if I got a dud or if I should stop wasting my time.

    Thanks for reading,

check the switch assembly and the battery contacts, might be bent slightly if so bend back to normal, if not do rma https://cs.dx.com/Ticket/Check/Aftersales.NewDefective, this item is designed to cope with recoil if it does not it maybe faulty
Resistance is futile-give in to DX gadget craving!
also a voluntary mod-be nice please!
    Have an enquiry? https://cs.dx.com/ticket/index
