DX hidden price increases since 2014 ?

  • AndiBcool Saturday, January 4, 2014 11:54 AM Reply
Well i did notice a lot items sold here did increase in price. I can understand that some items tend to increase but most of the electronic stuff should decrease after a while.
I did order serveral items last year and a lot of em did increase in price. Some amounts are tiny some are huge almost 20$.
I would say most items got around 10% price increase. Some less some even more.
Maybe DX should not make so many useless giveaways that very few people get an adavantage from and keep prices stable.

Indeed, just checked my last few orders and what I've paid for the items, most of them increased price quite significantly.
I kept buying at DX(even while I knew where to get most items cheaper) for the good service, but there are limits...

    what's the deal with that?

I checked my orders and i too noticed diffrences from prices, which have risen 1-2 dollars.
Might it be because of inflation?

Maybe partly. They probably need to make up for lost customers due to the poorly run promotions/contests, and other things like the new, lousy, calendars, which I'm SO glad I didn't order. lol
NO! I don't know why DX screwed up the site so badly.
    Ask them.

Thanks for your support with DX.Please understand that the price of the product is affected by many factors. Please click "Price Match" if you see the product being sold elsewhere for a lower price.

    Price Match? Seriously?
I challenge you to search any topic regarding price matches and to find 1 single topic where a Price Match was ever anwered...You'll find that 99% of all topics will be about Price Matches that are 'Pending'
Pending Means that the request has never been looked at!!!
Pending - request has just been submitted and is waiting for staff to process.
Processing - request has been seen by staffs and is currently being worked on.

So Pending means it hasn't been seen yet.

I have 3 Price matches Pending since october-december 2012....So From you, Chelsea, I would like to have a definite answer when my price matches will seen by staffmembers?
And I know you'll make a response that it's not your department, but if you wish to advertise Price Matches, at least make sure it works! Responding to Price Matches is a form of Service, and you're part of Customer Service Express.

So should i do a pricematch of prices from DX 7 days ago ?
I only looked in my last orders to see almost all items where cheaper 7 days ago by around 10%.

The items did not change not did the supplyer, just DX did increase the prices.

Also i dont waste time doin pricematches, if i find items cheaper elsewhere i will order them there.
That is was people do, its up to your compay to competive with prices.

Every item in my wishlist has gone up. Checked some items I'd already bought and they went up too. Bummer.

I can understand 5-10% price increases, but Im sure there are probably more like this ones at 25%! ~ http://club.dx.com/forums/forums.dx/threadid.1351192

Also, to spot if the item has increased in price, if the "List Price" beside the actual price is missing, then its gone up.

I started looking through my Wish List and got to the 10th item before finding one with a List Price crossed out. Are you sure it's not there only if the price has gone down?
