New change order policy

  • sheepish Top 10 Forum Poster Sunday, November 16, 2014 7:00 PM Reply
A few weeks ago I was told in Live Chat that because of a new policy I could not add new items to an order. That seemed strange, so I opened a ticket to do the same thing and the items were added to a new order.

Now in a new ticket I have been told I cannot change items in an order.

We can change items within one order due to new shipping policy.Or we can cancel it now if you don't want to wait for it?

I presume that "can" should be a "cannot" - it doesn't make sense otherwise. I have to ask: If I cannot change order items, why is there still a ticket type for it?

because staff have not got around to removing the change order option yet?
actually not long ago i had a similar experience, i wanted to redeem some DX points so i asked live chat to add a new item to an existing order, as per usual, but i kept refreshing order page whilst chatting and it didn't show up, but then i noticed staff created a whole new order with new item instead! maybe staff think that by splitting up orders there will be less delays?

    Had to log in again.

I was told that creating a new order for that sort of thing is the new policy. It is the way the fault finders items have been done for several months.

same here. A month ago, every time I wanted to add an item to an order, DX staff added them to new order (as happened with sheepish) BUT last week that has changed again: now they cancel the current order and create a new one, adding to it the unshipped items along with added ones.

    Clarification in my ticket:

We can't change items within one order now.We can cancel it and submit a new order for new items you want.Thanks.

And once again I did not get an email telling me DX had responded to my ticket. I'm not impressed. DX seems determined to wreck itself.

Also, the item is now more expensive than when I ordered it; sku.46371 was $7.81 and an MVP item when I placed the order. It is now $7.99, not an MVP item, and not shipping! http://www.dxlisting.com/sports-outdoors-1699/camping-1606/cooking-stove-hardware-1635/outdoor-portable-ultra-mini-stainless-steel-gas-stove-with-a-case-2-ag3-46371-1003073/suppliers says it is sold out but DX doesn't say that any more, although it did temporarily.
