Can I use 26650 batteries with UltraFire T55?

  • UCTERRA Monday, January 26, 2015 9:36 AM Reply
This flashlight supports 1x18650 or 3xAAA batteries.

    My doubts are:
    1. Will the 26650 cells fit in the flashlight?
    2. What would be the advantages of these batteries if they do fit?

Edited: Thank you in advance for your help! ;)

Measure the inner diameter of the battery tube. 26650 cells are (at least) 26mm dia. The tube would probably have to be at least 27mm for slight variations between different brands, and protected cells are often slightly wider than non-protected cells.

Some 26650 cells have more capacity than 18650s so that would give a longer runtime before they need to be recharged. Some of the cheaper ones are no better, just more expensive.
NO! I don't know why DX screwed up the site so badly.

gasbag11, thank you for your kind reply.

They will not fit, because the inner tube diameter is 23.22mm!

    Thanks again!!!

    No problem. :)

Li-ion batteries actually have their size as part of the title/description.

IE: 18650 cells are 18mm dia. X 65mm length. 10440 cells are 10mm dia X 44mm length, etc. Batteries that are protected can be slightly wider and a few mm longer. The 0 at the end means they are round/tubular.
