False information on solar panels

  • epedja Monday, September 21, 2015 4:29 PM Reply
I noticed recently there are number of solar panels with false description. For example, there are several 5V 1A solar panel is advertised as 20W or 18W which is impossible.

I send few error notices to DX but with no response. Items still have false description.

What happens with DX? It used to be respectable and trustworthy.

It takes days for Error Reports to be answered, and not just for electronics items. It's sad that DX's suppliars are so bad with product details, but DX is one of the few Chinese companies I know of who regularly (if slowly) fix their product details when told they're wrong.

There seems to be an issue with DX not wanting/having the ability to test products themselves, and they just repeat the lies the suppliers gives them!

Could be they're short staffed, or maybe something else.
I have reported all the latest bike lights for the last week or two, and never had a reply or seen the descriptions change.

I believe there is no need to test. It is obvious that solar panel rated 5V 1A cannot provide 18 or 20 watts.

It may be obvious to you, but it's highly unlikely to be obvious to anyone at DX who types the descriptions. They just use the info that the suppliars give them.
NO! I don't know why DX screwed up the site so badly.
    Ask them.
