Surface shipping

  • AgostinhoBrito Sunday, October 30, 2016 3:02 AM Reply

I saw there are ICAO restrictions for batteries shipping but, in this case, is it possible to ship by surface ?

DX has no option for surface shipping.

It's been suggested before, but apparently it's easier to just not ship batteries at all.

NO! I don't know why DX screwed up the site so badly.
    Ask them.

unlikely to be an option in future, it takes literally months for delivery, think about it, if airmail delivery has a few complaints surface shipping would have many more complaints

Resistance is futile-give in to DX gadget craving!

What is not logic to me is that there are other stores that still ship batteries to any country. How do they do that?

Another site I buy from had surface shipping for a while and no one really complained. I bought batteries then and it took almost 10 weeks for them to arrive, but that was made very clear before you ordered. Making things very clear is not one of DX's strong points though.

Personally, I think those other sites must bribe someone so their stuff doesn't get returned. :) Maybe the smaller sites aren't bothered as much. It seems there's no trouble at all if you buy from the bay .

I believe that's the case. I don't remember having any lengthy delays sailing out of the bight.

one possible reason DX gets 'special treatment' is that smaller sellers fly under the radar, so to speak, if you have other explanations please do post them!
