SKU 844395628 (HOSAFE 2MB7W 2.0MP 1080P HD IP Cam)

  • pekka79 Thursday, November 24, 2016 12:04 AM Reply

    Hi

Can you please tell me does the SKU 844395628 support ONVIF or not? The time I made the order there was a specification that those cams supports ONVIF but now its gone from the description/specifications?

Now there is only ONVIF mentioned at the products url:

    eud.dx.com/product/hosafe-2mb7w-2-0mp-1080p-hd-ip-camera-w-36-ir-led-poe-onvif-motion-detection-eu-plug-844395628

My order was (Order number 161106135096169300)

    - SKU 844395628 3pcs    (HOSAFE 2MB7W 2.0MP 1080P HD IP Camera)

    - SKU 844384234 1pcs    (HOSAFE NVR8 ONVIF Mini 8CH 1080P)

And I need that those are working together nicely. If the cams does not support ONVIF then please tell me what NVR does support those cams?

    //Pekka

    Hi Pekka,
Be aware that this is a customer forum, not necessarily monitored by DX staff. Your query sounds urgent so it would be best to ask staff directly, before the order is shipped. (Check its status on your order page). It may be safest to cancel the order until you get a reply.

You may try Live Chat but they are probably unable to give a definite answer on a technical problem. The place to check such information before ordering is: Product Page → Report Error → Lacking Info, but that can take several days. I'll try contacting staff for you- @Maye_Tao.

In future, when enquiring about a specific product on the forum it is best to use the product's own forum see:

    Hi

First thing I did was Live chat with the customer service and they said to me that they dont know/care and I need to post my question/problem here so I did it.

And the problem is like I said before, the products description/specs has changed since I made the order, there is no way to know that kind of things forehand or check those anywhere. I dont want to cancel my order and wait another month again, if the product is not correct when I get it I return it. Transaction is made by credit card and if it goes hard I just infrom the credit company/paypall that the seller has not shipped the right product and dont want to try to solve the issue and I get refund or so. And It's still an option to buy another NVR that support those cams anyway and sell by my self the "wrong" one.

Thanks to you, maybe I get to know the real specs. :)

OK I understand. I only suggested you cancel temporarily if the order had not been dispatched, but was likely to be in the next day or two, before it was sorted out whether the two products were compatible. There is certainly no need to open a dispute at this stage, as Maye_Tao is on the case and you will find she is very helpful at sorting out such problems. You still didn't mention whether the order has shipped yet but if not, I'm sure she will delay sending just until it is resolved. Cheers.

Order Status is "Full Shipment" but details says "The item is pre-advised" so I guess its still somewhere there waiting for the shipment.

I dont want to cancel to whole order, just want to know the real specs and if those two products are not really supporting ONVIF/compatible then I can return just the NVR (or sell it away to some friend) and buy another one NVR that supports those cams. Easier to everyone.

Just mentioned the hardest way to handle things

Yes "Full shipment" means it's in the hands of the postal service so it's too late to cancel of course. You could return it for credit but they'd probably deduct the cost of return postage and by the time you got the refund, your best option would be as you suggest, to sell it privately. Let's hope Maye _Tao comes back with some good news and it will pair OK with the camera. Best of luck!

yeah, selling the wrong product is easier. Hopefully Maye_Tao can sort out the ONVIF thing and maybe then update cams product description too so others dont need to ponder around the same thing.

    Thank you too :)

btw. for the future orders (if product descriptions does not change after order) where can I find those product specific discussion pages? I might be blind, but where in the product page are the above mentioned "Report Error" or some discussion area off this product?

I can see only links that points away from product. Only links/tabs related to this product are "Overview" "Delivery" and "Reviews" all other links on that page points away from that product.

Here are the screenshots from that product page how it looks to me

Ah, I see you are using the EUD site. Several reports I have seen posted by reliable sources suggest that EU Direct is not the best way to shop from DX. The same goods are still sent from China, do not arrive any earlier, cost more, and just as likely to incur VAT/Import tax. Tax insurance is also available on goods purchased from the regular DX Site as well as EUD.

Most items listed on EU Direct can be found on the regular DX site by copying  the SKU number to the Search bar and removing the 884 from the front of the number, for instance SKU.844395628 is the same item as SKU.395628. On that page you can find the "Report Error" button just under "Add to cart".

The product discussions are found as shown in the link I posted above... http://i.imgur.com/cDNPbTk.png

yeah, seems so that the products are coming from China via Holland --> next time I'm not going to use EUD because it's just a hoax to pay few euros more and still have to wait loooong and there is that customs/VAT/Import tax thing too then :/
