Which fan should I use?

  • JeffMaister Wednesday, March 15, 2017 10:31 PM Reply

I was looking for a case and a fan, but I saw it was two kinds of casefans available. This http://www.dx.com/p/copper-aluminium-heatsink-fan-cooling-kit-for-raspberry-pi-black-443690  and http://www.dx.com/p/raspberry-pi-abs-13200rpm-active-cooling-fan-for-v31-acrylic-case-black-330970

I want this case http://www.dx.com/p/double-layer-acrylic-case-for-raspberry-pi-3-model-b-2b-b-434711 but I don't know which fan that fits on the case I recently linked. I didn't found the information I was looking for on the site so I'm asking you guys for help instead :)

(Note: I hope you will understand my english, I'm a beginner)

    Are you overclocking?

Yeah in the future when I get more experience. I know Raspberry Pi doesn't need a fan with stock clock but I think it does because I don't want it to get so hot. The soc gets around 65-70 degrees celsius in when i'm out on the net and when I watch videos up to 85 degrees. But that it's not the only reason I want a fan, I think its fun to experiment with the Pi so why not.

Thank you :) And one more question, are these fans the same size, those that I linked in the first post?

    SKU: 330970 is  (2 cm x 2 cm x 1.2 cm)
    SKU: 443690 is  (3 cm x 3 cm x 1.5 cm)
By the way Jeff, there is no need to post the whole URL to identify a product, just copy/paste the SKU number and it autolinks as above.
