Yep, thats the DX way now!

If its the same product but a different colour, then they just use the same review for them all.

That is another reason why their reviews connot be trusted. We learned recently that they were using customer reviews for what they consider "similar products" and claim that they apply to others.

The review is actually of sku.451315, which is not easy to tell. It's deceptive, or sometimes very deceptive because the review is of a quite different product.

DX does not mention product listing dates now. That just makes DX look like it's hiding something.

That being the case, how did it aquire the fifth star? Customer "10770956" only gave sku.451315 four.

DX average: One review with 4 stars, average is 5 stars.

Very true. They averaged all the reviews and got 5 stars for sku.354655 too.

It's the same math system that they use to find the "actual" lm rating for most flashlights.

Heheh, I'm getting so rusty from lack of posting nowadays, that I just spent about 2 minutes trying to remember how to link the sku # above.

I thought for a while that DX just used a weird algorithm for calculating their average but there are too many inconsistencies for them to be using one, unless it includes completely unrelated factors like product listing date (which DX doesn't mention any more) or the day of the week the reviews were approved.

… product listing date (which DX
    doesn't mention any more)

    Speaking
of disappearing dates, the presale release date of at least one
product has disappeared from the radar. Until last Thursday (16th Mar), SKU: 852458964 had the usual note just above the
Overview, advising that the expected release date was 13thMar. and shipment would commence soon after.

    Apparently they thought it less
embarrassing to just erase the notice than to provide an explanation
and a revised, expected delivery date. Hope that's not becoming
    another Dxism trend!

I don't remember ever seeing an explanation of why DX removed the listing dates of all the items.

    @Maye_Tao. Do you know why?
