Real power of Laser

  • Aleciomiguel Thursday, July 13, 2017 2:50 PM Reply

I would like to know the actual power of the product, as in the announcement is informed that I can ask you if you are in doubt, 0.5 mW seems a little unreal to me

Output Power: 0.5mW (If you want to know the actual power, please consult our customer service staff, thank you!)

They aren't allowed to sell "powerful" lasers, so they will just claim a false spec instead. But you already know that, because you of course read the already existing thread on the other item you started a thread for.

    Laser Power10W

Or something in between? Let's see, what is it powered by?

    Battery: 16340 Batteries

    Use 2pcs 16340 batteries

    Battery2x 16340 Batteries

    Packing List ... 2 x 16340 Batteries

Conversion efficiency is well short of 100%, but even if it was, are these 16340 cells capable of 5W each? No. Are any 16340 cells capable of that? Yes, there are some capable of 2A output, but those included are not them. (Good luck finding them.)

Is 10W actually the maximum operating power of the diode, not achieveable operating it on 16340 cells, and a DX suppliar is being deceptive again?

There are other ridiculous specs. I tried an error report, with a sugestion based on lasers spreading out over long distances.

sheepish: "Spot Mode (Spot size)    6M 10nm" is meaningless. Is it supposed to be "6m at 10km"?

    The corrected version...

    Facula Diameter: 6M ≤Φ10nm

This is even more ridiculous. How does light with a 450 nm wavelength have a 10 nm anything?
