False 24hrs claim > Still no phone in 2wks

    I have bought the UMIDIGI Z1 smartphone on this site and received the
    confirmation of my order. I picked this phone over others because it
    came with the promise of 24 hour delivery. The order was placed August
    24th and it still hasn't been delivered. A
    little less then 2 weeks. This fast delivery time is knowingly misused for a wide variety of products!!! Why are
    products still being advertised like this? I demand it be rectified for
    all products that use this tag/sticker on their product page as it is
    common decency for a retailer to not confuse nor mislead customers!!!
    And well within customer rights need i add!!!!


    Furthermore the
    tracking service doesn't actively track the phone and only tells you
    where it was at last "checkpoint". No sight of an estimated delivery
    time either. What a difference from your advert.


    Where
    can i contact Customer Service or mail? I haven't found an email
    address or a phone number for European citizens, let alone a Dutch one.
    How am i supposed to inquire about my order and this promised delivery
    time?


    I am very disappointed and am looking into further action if left with no options.

    Nowhere does it say; "Free delivery in 24 hours". It says; "Ships within 24 hours".


    That means it will leave DX's warehouse in 24 hours. Once the order ships, it can still take anywhere from 10 days to 2 months to be delivered, depending on which postal systems/countries are involved.

    At the top of the page there's a "Contact us" button. You can make a ticket there, but DX (and almost all of China) is coming back from a week long holiday. Tickets will be backlogged for at least a week or two.

    As I said, it says; Free SHIPPING in 24 hours. NOT DELIVERY in 24 hours. 


    Do you have any idea how much it would cost to deliver something halfway around the world in 24 hours?

    I understand that you are trying to defend this way of advertising as it is your job...

    Where is one supposed to take this away from? I haven't seen this anywhere and i hear this for the first time, it didn't say this anywhere on the product page.


    This type of advertising is in fact unlawful in the Netherlands as it deliberately defies transparency and outside of the crime it's an unethical code of conduct!


    I write this as a customer and friend by pointing out these obvious mistakes so you have the chance of rectifying and solving it so that your business can have a longer future. I hope that a customer's critique doesn't fall to deaf ears and is taken serious for the sake of your own company's future!?

    Hey customers who are reading this, i haven't found information on the ("24 hours advertised") product pages that the estimated delivery time can take up "10 days to 2 months"*

    Have any of you read this anywhere near the advertising? If so i would love to see an example of it, thank you!

    LOL  I'm a customer just like you, who's been buying from DX for over 5 years. This is a customer's forum. 


    I've explained the difference between shipping and delivery twice and refuse to get in an argument about it.

    There are other older threads than the one gasbag11 linked which discuss
    this confusion. It doesn't help that "Free Shipping in 24 Hrs" and
    "Free Shipping With Tracking Number" use different meanings for
    "shipping".

    this issue has been bought up and answered before on forum, you can search for MVP term, and while DX could have chosen better wording, like instead of shipping in 24 hours something like order processed in 24 hours it is simply unrealistic to expect everything to include free worldwide overnight shipping with full tracking as standard, who does this?

    Local or even national overnight is not too expensive but international overnight shipping is really pricey, do me a favor, next time you are in your local postoffice grab a small box and ask employee how much for overnight shipping with full tracking for say .5kg to New Zealand, Russia, etc and post it here, oh and if the shipping charge is almost or greater than the cost of phone, be sure not to fall off your chair!
