Website and email spelling and grammar errors

  • sheepish Top 10 Forum Poster Monday, October 23, 2017 5:07 PM Reply

Thread for spelling and grammar mistakes on the DX website and in notification emails that cannot be notified through error reports.

@Maye_Tao a couple of mistakes in the shipping notice email:

    From: "dealextreme.com" <[email protected]>

It has been dx.com for several years now.

... please understand that they may have been shipped separtely. We ...

    Should be "separately. We".

It seems the very old email address still works so it's fine like it is.

As for the spelling mistake, maybe if someone else "separtely" reports it...

Edit - added quote marks. Like it was, it was too much temptation to correct the spelling.

Misspelling and a missing space. I don't know why no one has mentioned this before.

I just had a look at the PMs from two months ago.

[email protected] is one of our email address. I will report the second error to the supervisor. Thanks.

It may well be, but it's not the site your customer bought from.

"... please understand that they may have been shipped separtely. We ..."

Could you please post a screenshot for the full email page? Thanks.

Um, why? It's your shipping notification. The full paragraph:

The item(s) included in this package are listed as below, if what you have ordered are more than the one(s) displayed, please understand that they may have been shipped separtely. We will send you email notification(s) once the other package has been shipped:

    @sheepish

Is the shipping notification from [email protected]? We will be appreciated if you can post a screenshot for the full text. Thanks.

Yes, and why? Does your tech staff not see it like that?

Maye, it's a spelling mistake and a missing space. The related staff can see the problem directly if they open the email template and look directly at it.

Moving on, there is another website problem, which is not a spelling/grammar error so I've moved it here: http://club.dx.com/forums/forums.dx/threadid.1477279

    On every product page:

While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price.

    Should be "occasions".
