It’s all part of the new “free” shipping policy bug Andi, which DX have refused to admit is a bug, therefore nothing is being done about it.

I’m guessing you are from U.K. where the cost of SKU: 916494303 including “free” shipping is $35.46. If you stay on that page, and change the Destination Country to U.S. or Australia for instance, the price including “free” shipping is $16.06!

Don’t feel victimised though, I’ve found other items that are $200.00 cheaper to U.K. than to Australia and one lightweight product that is $200.00 dearer to U.K.! (You can change the destination country using the little flag icon at top right). Have fun with it.

[edit]   Check out SKU: 916502541 for instance. This is why bird tird netting is a much more popular sport in Australia than U.K.

    Your English is very good.

Too bad your toothbrush is not Oral-B. Replacement brushes for it, SKU: 485294 are $5.50 for 16 pcs.

I think i did order thease in a smaller pack but they wherent that good.

I bought a Soocas sonic toothbrush to see what this sonic brushing is all about and its really different from Oral B brushing.

The brushheads are pretty good from what i can tell. The options of the Soocas and bluetooth with app is good too.

If i buy a similar product locally it will cost much more.

I use booth now Oral B and the Soocare.

I have not yet graduated to electronic dental hygiene and would be interested to hear which of those two brands you would recommend.

Another ridiculous feature of the DX pricing policy is the number of different prices for the same item. When I enter “Soocas” into the search bar and click onto the product page for the two-pack replacement brushes, the price is $23.55 (destination Australia).

Just below that, in that other horrible new feature (Related Products), the SAME product is listed three times! I just have to choose whether I wish to pay $13.19, $16.06, $14.85, or just buy it at $23.55!

It is the same with SKU: 916494263. The price is either: $83.21, $56.53, or $50.98. The usual explanation we are given for price variation is that they have bought in different batches or from different suppliers but I refuse to believe that can account for differences of this magnitude. For one thing, these are Xiaomi products with whom they deal directly… so we have been told.

The site is bug infested now but DX won't admit it. Read Maye's reply in this thread. vv

    http://club.dx.com/forums/forums.dx/threadid.1478426

There seems to be random items all over the site that can't be ordered or have incredibly high prices, both for no reason at all. Half the products no longer have descriptions for Pete's sake.

NO! I don't know why DX screwed up the site so badly.
    Ask them.

I would say go fot the one you can buy genuide brush heads locally.

I use Oral B for years now. They offer small brushheads that turn back and forth.

Thouse are good if you have difficult to reach teeth.

Downside is if you press to hard you might damage your gums and battery live is shorter.

The battery you can actually upgrade on some models with an eneloop battery, but its a lot soldering work.

Good Oral B models will be expensive

The new Soocas works a little different and uses brushes like the old school Toothbushes.

I would say its a mix of vibrating and sonic cleaning. It seems to vibrade way faster then the oral B turns back and forth.

You can set the strenght of the vibrating and have different modes.

It seems its not that bad if you press to hard on the gums and it makes the toothpaste way thinner.

The brush heads seem to last a little longer.

The issue here is mainly if you have hard to reach places/teeth you wont be that clean like the oral b. Thats mainly because of the brush size.

*edit* For the listings, that are different brushheads. Mini, Clean and Inter plus a Black clean.

Thanks for the reviews Andi. I too considered trying a sonic type of brush and from what I have read, Xiaomi make fairly good products (phones etc.), but I don’t like their pricing policy either. Too much like buying a printer. You can get a reasonably good one of those for $20 now but a set of inks is about $70! The disposable parts, in this case the brush heads, are a ridiculous price.

Yes I had noticed Maye’s post. Scary isn’t it?! Having IT work on it means it will never work again, and two other things will go wrong.
