180215001077501220 - Trustfire TR0-3T6

  • Robhes Saturday, May 05, 2018 4:03 PM Reply

    Good morning,

I have bought and received the Trustfire TR-3T6 from you on March 20 this year.
I put the Flashlight into use in my holiday home on April 15 and it does not work properly.
The lamp has only 1 light mode (must be 4), and it is weak. Also the lamp goes off after a while and then I have to wait until I can turn it on again.

I already exchanged the switch with another lamp that I own and it also works on the other Flashlight. I think it's up to the electronics in the head and that this should be replaced.

    How do we solve this?
    Please respond quickly

    Sincerely,
    Rob Hesselmann.

That sounds like maybe a battery problem.

Some flashlights will only work in the lowest mode when the batteries get low.

Are the cells decent quality and fully charged? Can you try them in another light?

If it still doesn't work right with freshly charged cells, it's probably the driver, (electronics) and I have no idea which driver it uses.

    You were right.
The charger does not work properly. For now, I have been able to repair it.
Can you advise me a good replacement charger?

Hey, you are using protected cells in this, right?

You can look through these these chargers and see if you like one. vv

I've had a Nitecore i4 for 5 years and it still works great, plus it never gets hot. Nor do the batteries.

Jetbeam, xtar, and Soshine also make good chargers. If you have questions on any of them just post back here, or start a discussion on the charger's page like you did here. You can also google the name and model of the charger followed by the word "review" to look for reviews.

Like sheepish said, you really should use only good, protected cells, especially with multi-cell flashlights.

For some reason, what you said above (^^) didn't register in my head till just now, so I wanted to give you a warning.

A faulty/questionable charger should NEVER be used with Li-ion cells, ESPECIALLY if they're not protected.

If Li-ion cells are over-charged, they can vent toxic gas, catch on fire, or even explode. Protected cells can't be over-charged and are safer for that (and other) reasons.
