cUBOT X18 PLUS - MOBILE DATA NOT WORKING

    I have tried my sim in another phone and the data works fine but not in my new phone which arrived yesterday (wifi and other phone functions are fine). Any ideas as to why this might be, i am with EE?

    1. What country are you from?

    2. What is an EE? Is that a service provider in your country?

    3. If so, what frequency band/s do they operate on?


    If you are trying to connect to a 4G network, this phone only has FDD-LTE (4G) bands 1,3,7,8 and 20.

    You can check the 4G and 3G bands available on all the networks in your country from the links in my sig below.

    Sorry for posting in wrong area, I did try and see where I should put it. EE is a network and I am in the UK. I have changed network and finally got it to work.

    That's fine... happy to hear it worked. I see this phone has bands to suit all your networks- 3, EE, O2 and Voda so it wasn't an expensive problem.

    There's also a Cell Phones forum. The moderators have been asking for years for the ability to move posts, but "DX".

    DX has found a new way to deceive customers:

    I changed my provider to Tesco Mobile in the UK as my friends used this network with their cubot phone with no probems. It eventually worked with mine. I had to keep trying to insert the new sim and keeping turning it off and on again and re inserting before it eventually worked but it took me repeated tries and I think it was something to do with the phone triggering with a brand new sim as it worked when I tried a friends existing sim so I knew in principle it should work. My friends didn't have this problem though but they did not require a new nano sim like I did. I won't be taking out the sim card any time soon in mine just incase.
