How to stop DX INVASION OF PRIVACY???

  • mr350 Tuesday, October 02, 2018 2:20 AM Reply

    I'm been receiving advertising email from DX for the last few months even though I did not subscribe and after repeatedly unsubscribing!!! How to stop these advertisement emails? I think DX is doing this on purpose! Do we need to file privacy or criminal harassment charges against DX?

    lmao sending you unwanted emails is hardly an invasion of privacy or criminal harassment.

    If you are this easily harassed I feel sorry for you.

    Prepperandflash, over 1100 posts here on what has become one of the worst online merchandising sites ever, what’s your agenda?

    Here’s a tip… maybe you should learn a little before opening your mouth!

    A lot of countries are now incorporating laws to protect an individual’s privacy. The following is from Canada laws! Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation generally prohibits companies from:

    sending commercial electronic messages, to an electronic address, without your consent (permission). This includes emails, social networking accounts and text messages;

    There are three government agencies responsible for enforcement of their laws. They allow:

    The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) to issue administrative monetary penalties for violations of the anti-spam law.

    The Competition Bureau to seek administrative monetary penalties or criminal sanctions under the Competition Act.

    The Office of the Privacy Commissioner to exercise powers under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act.

    I would say that Canada takes these privacy laws seriously and I'm sure other countries do as well! People like you who believe other people’s privacy is nothing but a joke is why we have so much identity theft! I feel sorry for those people who constantly get lead down the garden path by ignorant people like you!

    What does my post count say about me?

    DX spam is not a new problem. People have been complaining about it since 2013. Some examples are linked from this post:

    DX spammed me again this morning. It's not often DX tries that with me (they know I'll report it every time) but I really do wonder why they continue to send the spam. Is there their mail list manage really so incompetently bad? (Edit - at least I fix my spelling.)

    That's not enough. Before last Friday DX last spammed me in June. A week without spam from DX does not mean that DX will not spam again, even if it's months later.
