Cart & password bug

    Hello all,


    An hour ago I placed my first order after some hassle. The problem was that it wouldn't give me free shipping, but after a while I managed to get the order through with free shipping. Now I see what the problem is. Apparently, there are two URLs for the cart:

    https://cart.dx.com

    https://www.dx.com/cart


    For me cart.dx.com will stay empty the whole time, eventhough I'm adding items through the site to the cart. Somehow I did manage to get one item in cart.dx.com to place my first order with free shipping. However, now the cart will stay empty for my next orders:

    Your shopping cart is empty.

    It links me back to the homepage and there it also says "Sign in", like I'm not signed in. But when I click on "Sign in" it says:


    Account Login

    Currently logged on user XXX

    Go Shopping

    Show my Account | Click here to logout


    So I am logged in. 


    The items I'm adding to my cart do show up on www.dx.com/cart, but without free shipping. And I thought DX was with free shipping? It says so on the site. When I click "Proceed to checkout" in the www.dx.com/cart link, it asks me to sign in. But I was already signed in? Then when I sign in, it says my password is wrong. This happened multiple times as well. I'm 100% sure I'm entering the right password & e-mail combination. 


    Now I changed my password on my.dx.com and it asks me to log back in on passport.dx.com, but now it says my password is wrong? When I just changed it.. I changed it again and it let me login. 


    Now I'm on https://www.dx.com/checkout trying to login and it doesn't work: password is wrong. I'm 100% sure I'm putting the right one.


    - How do I get items with free shipping?

    - How do I get items in cart.dx.com?

    - Why does it ask me to sign in up dx.com/checkout when I'm already logged in and why does it say my password is wrong?

    It seems like I have two accounts? I have a different nickname on https://home.dx.com/users/Profile than I have on https://my.dx.com/. 


    Can someone help me out.. Why are there two carts, how do I have two accounts all of a sudden.. I don't get it anymore.

    Neither does anyone else. This site is loaded with bugs and DX appears to have no interest in fixing them.

    ALWAYS ask questions about a specific item on its
    page. Scroll down and click on "Post a new topic".

    That'll be your problem - gasbag11 and I have found big problems recently with visiting home.dx.com (which is why I have deliberately not linked it there). Somehow it screws up the cookies. I suggest you delete all your cookies and avoid visiting that subdomain, if possible.


    Having different nicknames on those two subdomains implies it's tied in with the recent forum "nickname not set" bug. My guess is someone at DX changed something in the forum to refer to home.dx.com instead of my.dx.com, stuffing things up in the process.


    DX is quite spectacular at creating bugs.

    Thank you for your reply sheepish. I do have different nicknames. The one that shows up on the forums I chose myself, but the other one was set for me (either my name with underscore or part before @hotmail.com). I'm gonna try your advice :).

    I suggest you delete all your cookies


    I mean all cookies for dx.com (including subdomains), in case that wasn't clear for anyone else reading this thread later.

    Yes, I understood. It worked btw! I delete all cookies associated with "dx". Then I went to https://my.dx.com/ and logged in. Items added to my cart appear and with free shipping. Just placed an order :). Thanks!

    Normally it's the other way around - someone posts but we don't get an email notification. But this time I got the email for the staff member's post and did not get a notification for your post, gasbag11.


    The staff member's post didn't quite make sense, so it's probably better it's gone.

    Hello @PWINC

    We  are upgrading the system recently to provide all of you a better shopping experience. If you have ever login in in the new station, so the presence of a cookie will cause this sutiation, clean the cookie will be OK.If you have cleaned up the cookie,the problems still exists, then please re-login with another browser.
