DX won't refund for USB drive that is too small

  • Docsparkle Tuesday, August 6, 2019 7:19 PM Reply

I bought a 32Gb USB drive on DX and it arrived as 28Gb.

The seller tells me that they can't make them that big. Rubbish.

This is fraud. Seller won't give me back my money.

Gb is gigabits. GB is gigabytes. 32 Gb is 4 GB. 32 GB is 32,000,000,000 bytes.

GiB is gibibyte; 1 GiB is 1024 MiB, 1 MiB is 1024 KiB, 1KiB is 1024 bytes. 32 GiB is 34,359,738,368 bytes.

32 GB is about 29.8 GiB, and you can expect some of that to be lost in formatting.

    Remembering 30 years.
