    cool!! you are welcome revhead!!

i'm glad you were able to find it, and get some use out of this thread.

thanks you'all for teaching me how to copy and paste.

old dogs can learn new tricks!

i ask the mods to leave the following posts here because they contain instructions on using copy and paste.
i know it's a very basic computer skill,
but there might be someone else as clueless as i am that needs to learn copy/paste too.

click the little edit post pencil then click where you want the url to go and type [ url]<ctrl+v>[ /url] (omit the spaces before the "url"

    submit edited post ;)

reposted because i realised that flash couldnt see the url tags

not in a thread yet, but i've sent a couple to DX for damaged goods.

but i think it would be great if you wanted to add that here. :D

i got tired of all the "new" customers constantly complaining and
started this as a suggestion for a list that help first timers.
capt made it sticky, and i think something like it should be posted on
the DX home page or in check out.
somewhere more visible than the forum.

yeh it got serious on me real fast,
and has snowballed into the monster you see now!
but i learned some badly needed skills in the process.

if you or someone is going to explain how to post a picture in the
forum, it should also contain how to size them so the forum pages aren't
    screwed up.

    thanks 54321. :D

ok now the harder one, posting an image from elsewhere ;)

www.tinypic.com upload your picture and from the dropdown size menu select 640x480 for bulliten boards then hit upload.

now once its uploaded it shows you a small copy in the upper right and towards the centre are several things like url's, double click on the bottom one to make it all go blue then right click and copy it, back to dx and click the image button, now paste the url you copied earlier in between the ] and [ and its all done.
