new dsi firmware, time to bin all your dsi cards

  • Deleted Sunday, August 2, 2009 12:26 PM Reply
Meh, no change here. I can shop and download new titles, access the web, use my cameras, and everything else I did before this release. Maybe it's just not active here yet but really, this isn't a real 'update'. It's more like a patch, go figure.

I got the update message last night and this morning the Canadian mirrors have told me to update. Good thing I got rid of my points while I still could! :)

acekard 2i is not supposed to be upgradeable but some are insisting it is.

Don't forget that the internal firmware (on the chip) in the TT has been hacked to permit the fake TT to run the original firmware. A fake recovery tools was used to check, repair and use fake or clone DSTTs that have been killed by official loader. There is also a dumper program to dump the firmware.

So I think that the TTi can be flashed with the same method.

Well, it now seems that you are unable to enter the DSi shop at all anymore unless you choose to update.

Since I don't wish to use Facebook for non-professional purposes (really, only reason I have it is so that I can network with people to try and get work), not much incentive. But it's rather annoying that they're blocking me out of the shop channel unless I do.

Just figures that now my AK2i (even though I haven't upgraded the firmware) is acting up. :(
