a little somethin' i threw together.

  • flashin Thursday, April 29, 2010 10:23 PM Reply
it's a single stroke break barrel pellet pistol with a plastic handle and frame that cracked.
so i threw together some spare parts and made a close quarters rat gun.
the pistol grip, reciever, and butt plate i formed from scrap aluminum. the buttstock is from an old daisy bb gun. [not a red ryder]
it claimed 700 fps with a .177 pellet when i bought it a few years ago, but is closer to 500fps.
it's enough to put a serious hurtin' on a rat.
occasionaly one gets in the house and i can't shoot 'em with a .22.
    this should do fine.
i spent 45 min sightin' in the scope today. i had to take the adjusting screws to their limit because this thing is so........ not straight.
there's a mount and an rc-g2 from dx on it too.
i'm gonna paint the bare aluminum flat black. it'll hide some of the crude contruction!

true hillbilly would have kept track of the number of beers he drank while makin' it.

Sure is purdy tho. Think it'd take out somma the coyotes that 'ave been huntin' out my chickens?

i can't tell if you're makin' fun of me or not, but there was no alcohol involved in piecin' this together. nor any when i thought it up.
i quit drinkin' a while back.
    scary huh?

in case you are serious, and i don't think you are, NO, it won't do any thing to a coyote except make it yelp.

if you had coyotes around you'de know it takes more than a pellet gun to take one down.

    i have my hi-point 995 9mm for coyotes. both 2 and 4 legged versions. ;)

I was only half kiddin'. I have my .22 bolt action for the coyotes, but a little green-gas sucker I have tends to keep them... subdued.

    Neato little project though.

stupid spam filter won't let me post another photo......
    it's a break barrel design.
it's sighted in at about 15-20 feet for rats.
i get out the "big guns" for longer shots.
