I HAVE THIS (READ BEFORE BUYING)

  • Green65 Tuesday, September 14, 2010 10:32 AM Reply
This costs £50 from 3 (DX costs £80) this is also locked to 3.

3 has recently changed to a new mifi model so i expect this to be old stock.

Also it only allows a max of 5 devices to be connected to it.

It has a battery which lasts about 3 hours.

It uses mini-usb but you cant charge it from your pc and use it at the same time (you can charge it from the included plug and use it)

(i have this so i can answer any questions.)

this is also locked to 3 Hard to believe. How can you be so sure?
Mine is locked and this looks like a normal retail box complete with the 3 security sticker.

This is a brand new locked one as it has the security sticker.

This is £50 in the uk no contract.

If its direct from factory then it will be locked as they are locked by default.

It is a mental lock, seeing the sticker prevents you from putting any other operator's card in the slot, doing so will cause great pain!

It is very likely that 3 is the cheapest supplier since they subsidise the price (they sell it cheaper than they buy it) because customers will have to pay money to use it.

its most likely that it just "looks" like a 3 dongle after all i've seen china phones with the 3 network symbol on them and they dont even work on the 3g networks anywhere so dont be fooled by what it looks like, it'll be a generic unlocked 2g/3g dongle that just happens to look like one sold in the uk.

you dont know where DX source their supplies from.

so you will just have to assume the worst.

keep in mind that DX just want to make money.
