    @cabfrank I think Land knives are actually made by SanRenMu - two of the knives I ordered as SRM came marked "Land". The certainly seem to be made the same as the SRM. DX would do well to stock SRM/Land knives. I have put a product suggestion to them

    Land is a brand name used by Sanrenmu for some of their larger knives such as the 962.

    I've got one of those little CRKT knives, though uncoated and with a wharncliffe blade. Things unfortunately can and do get between the exposed blade and frame while it's closed and wind up having shavings taken off (including some of my thumbprint), so I stopped carrying mine.

    @frills: you still have fingerprints? I use shaving my fingerprints off as a test of sharpness - ever since I ran out of hair on my arms ;oD

    BTW - I've still no idea how I managed to split this thread off from the original
