There is no known 4.3' with this resolution LCD manufacturer. Moreover if it's 960 x 468 it can't be 4:3. I really doubt this resolution.

That resolution must be wrong. 960x468 is even wider than 16:9 aspect ratio. Width is more than double the height! I don't think any such LCD is being made nowadays.

At this price, the resolution is probably much lower than that, and by the looks of the pictures, it seems a 16:9 display, not a 4:3 one.

I know DX just publishes what the manufacturer says, but they should correct the specs of this device stated here.

Also, for a device which only accepts composite video input (the lowest quality input available), it wouldn't make sense to have such a high resolution display, specially for a 4 inch display, and for a $37 device.

I believe this is actually a 320x468 screen meant to be used vertically, like an iphone screen

    960÷3(R,G,B)=320 is the vertical resolution
    468 is the horizontal resolution.
so it is in fact 960x468 of actual color dots but 320x468 colour video resolution.

The real resolution on this monitor and the very similar 4/3 version is very high. It isn't what is stated but it is much better than any of the other units in this price range.

You can see some examples here from my video microscope:

I use a digital camera to shoot this LCD with a test picture display on it.
Then I actually counted the LCD dots on the picture I took.
    The result is 480xRGBx272 !!
    960 x 468 it should looks similar to i-phone 4(960*640).
This LCD never looks like one.

I can confirm. The real resolution is 480x272 (or in subpixels 1440x272).
And it is actually more like 16:9 than 4:3. Because it's really wide screen.
