Getting knives into Australia

    just wondering if anyone out the has some idea on which knives will get through australian customs also if anyone has any tips of getting knives through customs

    You can get any knife only with a one sided blade and it isnt a butterfly knife...

    Actually, i tried getting two knives in;




    Both were seized, it seems that even a loose knife is enough to be classified for a flick knife.

    I also tried to get that manual release knife in and both times it was seized labeled as a "flick knife"

    Importing folding knives into Aus is a nightmare nowadays.
    Some time ago Customs decided to reinterpret the law - now pretty much any one hand opener can be called a "Flick knife" that can be opened with gravity or centrifugal force :(

    It's pretty stupid, but it's almost a lottery trying to import manual folders now... unless they're nail-nick slipjoints, there's a good chance you'll lose them.
