I got a 5 pack from K.D. and I think the problem is that they're not pre-assembled. It's very easy to damage the electronics with heat and it's difficult to get a good electrical connection and a sturdy solder joint.
Also, mine don't appear to have modes, or at least they're not activated by briefly interrupting the power. I only got 2 out of 5 to work, one which I declared dead but worked when I resoldered the negative connection.

Learned the hard way only to buy pre-assembled stuff.

The problem is with connection between capacitor and point located near to UI, You must connect this points by wire :)

So are you saying that there needs to be an electrical connection between where the red wire goes and the beige-coloured component next to it? Difficult to make out in your photograph, plus I couldn't find a good Polish to english translator.

It's more obvious with the bigger picture on this forum. I bridged the connection with some solder, but didn't go smoothly, and now I have a fully functional driver!
Using wire might be the sturdiest option as (thin) solder seems to crack fairly easily.

Thankyou for being the first person to share your expertise on these drivers.
