Any way to calibrate this?

  • Nuppi Tuesday, June 14, 2011 12:20 PM Reply
I have 2 of these and the other is very accurate and working nicely.
However the other one is giving false readings.

Is there any way to calibrate this?

    there's usually a pot inside....but I think it adjusts the crystal frequency.....so no..'fraid not.

How far out and what ranges are out?

you can calibrate it with pot inside. Just connect two multimeters to same voltage and turn it until it reads the same as reference meter.

^ doing that, if it works at all, would only calibrate the one reading method and scale. Better question is why is the meter off calibration so much, there may be defect or damage.
