What is the maximum charge rate I can use safely on this battery? (how many amps?)

Unfortunately due to a resent change in protection circuit, some off the latest ones cant handle direct drive P7/XM-L flashlights, so they cut in around 2.5-3amps at a rough guess.

1A is pretty safe. I charge them by 2A if need a fast charge, and 1A otherwise.

I wouldn't recommend charging them at more than 1 Amp, even though decent quality expensive cells can be charged at 1C, I think 2.4A would be too high a charge rate for this battery and really any of the 18650s sold on here.
