This is same as Sky Ray STL-V2, so it's thrower and a damn good one.

    Define "decent visibility"...
Actually that's difficult because it depends on the circumstances. If the night is pitch black and there's a house (white walls, black windows) - easily.
But for dark trees in a dark forest, not completely dark adapted eyes, spill actually blinding you a bit - probably not.

ANSI/NEMA FL1 defines 0.25 lux as value for "decent visibility". With that, this light throws ~450m. "Typical" situations might need more like 1 lux, which results in half the throw. (some more info on throw)

Still, this is a great thrower, the best budget thrower I know of.

yea... i bought one and the spill definitely blinds you a bit :\
although the throw is ~twice or 2½ more bright than the old wf600 was...

Is it really identical to SkyRay STL-V2?
Or to Uniquefire V2 (it has little smaller head diammeter and less throw)
