Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week
Pros:
this is a useful little gadget to throw into your (digital) camera bag. it weighs almost nothing, and takes up very, very little space, but for those self-timer shots, or to steady a camera against a chair or the handlebars of a bike, it's just perfect. much, much better than hauling around a full-size tripod which you end up never using.
Cons:
it's bit flimsy, and the universal joint is pretty rickety (don't put a big camcorder or an slr with a telephoto on it) and probably won't last forever.
OtherThoughts:
the design is good, but a better build quality, possibly made out of aluminum, would be well worth a higher price.
Bottomline:
you can't go wrong at this price, which is about what you'd pay for 2 AA alkaline batteries.
