Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month
+ Good mating for high current capability
+ Fantastic price
+ Mates well with original Deans Ultra
- Hard to pry apart (same as original)
- No polarity marking (original has this)
- I only got black shrink tubes, no red
These are copys of the original Deans Ultra T connectors. They are very good copies but the original uses fiberglass reinforced plastic with a very high melting-point. These use a cheap AB-like plastic with a much lower melding-point.
Neither these nor original have any aid for pulling them apart.
If you know how to solder and can do a quick job at it, then these will be more than adequate and you will save a tonn of money.
A tip for easy removal: Use the soldering-iron and melt some ribs around the sides of the connectors. This will give your fingers something to grip and ease the stress on the wires. I'll try to uppload a picture later of how this looks.
