Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:

As mentioned in my earlier review, the USB3 port works seamlessly in GNU/Linux, with hotplugging of both the USB device and the card itself.

    Cons:

It turns out that the card eats up 1.5W of power, even when completely idle. If your laptop already eats up 20W, it's probably not a big concern but with my ultralight thinkpad, it means that I can't keep the card plugged in all the time without significantly reducing my laptop's autonomy,

    OtherThoughts:

Still haven't tried the eSata port.

    Bottomline:

Not perfect, but still very handy.
