Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month
- Pin spacing fits Motorola radios - Decent build quality - Very durable for this price - Plugs in very firmly, no risk of it falling out - Extra earpiece is nice - The tips on the metal clip are bent inwards so it holds very firmly to clothing - Moderately concealable
- Tube is too long, and needs to be cut to fit your ear. - Cable from mic to driver is thin. (Connector to mic is fine) - White earpiece is quite visible - PTT is too small.
Make sure you wear this properly. Remove the driver and the earpiece, and place the tube so that the bend is on top of your ear. Mark on the tube where the top of your ear canal is, and cut with scissors.
Put the bend of the tube overtop of your ear, and insert the earpiece. Grab the driver-end of the tube and stretch it back to wherever on your clothing you prefer to clip the driver. Cut to size and reconnect. Remember to keep the tube under a small amount of tension all the time, or it will fall out when you turn your head towards the side you're wearing it on.
A speakermic and 1-pin tube is a better bet for most purposes. If for some reason you really want a lapel mic/ptt, this does the job well.
